Pastor Dr. Isaac L. Floyd

Educational Background

· University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff, Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education.

· Master’s Degree from Texas A&M University, Texarkana, Texas.

· Andersonville Baptist Seminary, Doctorate in Theology.

Dr. I.L. Floyd is a native of Arkansas. He was born and raised in Texarkana, Arkansas. After finishing high school, he continued his educational pursuits.

Dr. Floyd worked in the field of education for fifteen years. He was a public school teacher and assistant principal of the Texarkana, Arkansas Board of Education, prior to devoting full time to the work of the church. He taught five years at Chicago Baptist Institute. He has been teaching at the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc. for over thirty years.

He was called into the ministry thirty-four years ago and has pastored for thirty years. Prior to his relocation to Chicago in January 1992, he pastored in the states of Arkansas and Texas.

He is nationally renowned for his various local, district, state and national affiliations in Christian education.
